Visually a great bag, the buff and the brass (colored?) Closures give the Kalahari L 14 a very high quality look. Externally, the shoulder bag is hardly recognizable as photo equipment, which depending on the location so may well be of advantage. Inwardly it corresponds for me but unfortunately also not really a camera bag, because the padding I will entrust any quality equipment more: a few bump in the crowd and my Sony A-77 was awakened from sleep mode, the flash came out and tilted by a blow from outside ... The moral of the story: He moves out no longer automatically, even if it is ... What would be the way happens when the case would be slipped from the shoulder and pitched on the floor - do not think up! And can slip off the shoulder bag well - namely their lack any padding and let everyone slidestoppers below the strap. Here the retro design is given nonsensically complete precedence over safety, the very smooth buffalo leather belts is simply and narrow as a trouser belt slung over his shoulder. The perceived weight of the empty bag already goes by the way after a short time already in the agonizing kilo range. Massive Buff is just not a featherweight nylon! The bag is closed only with the Kalahari usual Magnetschnäppern: a zipper - Wrong! An invitation for any light-fingered, or - if you have a little more luck - only the ubiquitous dust ... raincape: also rivets! That leaves one only the dubious pleasure to trust in a surprising casting on the impregnation of the leather or to carry out a large plastic bag.
My conclusion: the Kalahari KAAMA L-14 is a trendy and elegant, but quite heavy bag that makes up the adventurers in the Field Jacket as well as the suits in the City very well, but filled soon cut into the shoulder. One can thus carry a lot with her, although she actually does not provide multi-functional compartments. Sensitive and fragile things should not be, because the padding is rather poor. Even expensive units are not canceled well in the leather container, unless you can put them in the viewing area in front of the stomach and ensures the magnetic bullet with his hands. Quite expensive for what it offers functional.
Score one for the optics, a point for processing, no points for quality as a camera bag, not for comfort and not for safety
By the way: Kalahari advertises on his website with which each bag pendant semiprecious stone "tiger eye - a protective and healing stone" - the photographer also needs who entrusts his pocket his expensive camera ...
