... Focuses on appearance, but is far too thin (story) and flat (Humor). Without a doubt made very complicated and also played well. The effects great, the sound pure skin. Yes ... that's it but unfortunately already. That you can from a comic book adaptation expect any depth films was clearly refuted since Christopher Nolan's Batman at the latest. Even films like "Watchmen" show that there is another way. The new Thor is unfortunately just another product for loveless's popcorn cinema. The story captivates not much is predictable and what is not predictable, is anything but original. The stereotypical characters are boring and you do not really rooting for them with. Far too often interspersed self-irony and a few flat jokes make both the film and its characters rather ridiculous. You should omit this "mild College Humor" better or have to install something more original and above all spicier gags. The impressively staged weapons and vehicles a recall immediately to scenes from other movies (Star Wars says hello). Realism is of course not to be expected in this genre, yet you are constantly wondering how such powerful technologies and swordplay match and as the relatively underdeveloped humanity - especially towards the end of the film - can play such a pivotal role. In the end you would be that you have finally made it through the film, and with an indication of upcoming sequels one is again reminded what is the filmmakers at the Verwurstung the comic hero is all about: to's money.
