As a replacement for the old Netgearmodemrouter

Have this equipment purchased to replace the old Netgearrouter (Netgear ADSL2 + Modem Router DG834 V3). We were made to it last on my new Win8 Pc problems has very satisfied, so I decided again for Netgear.

Unfortunately, it was probably the wrong decision:

1. Setting:
The Setupassisent of Netgear just wanted to see any Internet connection, even though everything was done properly according to the instructions step by step. Thereupon I tried myself to type the settings manually, the same problem, no DSL Internet had recognized, anyway. Then I am reminded that one could save the settings as a file at the old router. In old router, would again emphasize that it is also of Netgear, saved the settings. After the file to the nines router attempts einzuspielen. Without success, proper file format, but did not want to work anyway, why can Netgear make this save the settings incompatible ?! After the weekend was I could not reach, perfections okay, the people must also have free time to support. On Monday then immediately tried, support reached by telephone immediately and had a nice young man off. Would also like to stress, he could very well German, was probably German, unfortunately, but that no longer walk and add. With him, I then set up the router successfully. Again huge plus for the top customer service.

The router on the network:
Unfortunately I can not say much good, the download / upload rate and Ping are just as good as the old, but unfortunately the numbers do not say much out loud Mnet speed test here. Websites load more slowly and also the online gaming you noticed the deceleration through the router, unfortunately addition yet that the router hangs occasionally. The range of the wireless network is not worse or better than on the 7-year-old predecessor in order.

In summary:

- Poor decor
- crashes
- Slowly

Will test the router for 2 days possibly there's an update, I'll send him back!
