In my case, but there is no reason for complaints, all 6 SATA 3 ports of my motherboards were already occupied by hard drives and other devices, so I simply disconnect the DVD drive during installation of my second SSD.
With no DVD drive, it goes in the long run but not why I bought this expansion card. The installation worked without problems, the supplied installation CD I have not needed. The only deduction which internal SATA ports have no attachment for "Clips" newer SATA cable. Therefore the connected cable is slightly loose and can easily slip.
Likewise, the SATA card pushes violently in the boot sequence before the "normal" boot loader. With the unit connected to the map I'll not even longer boot into Biosmenü (PC, briefly displays the equipment is returned to the Sata map depends, then, very briefly the normal loading screen (above the one normally enters the BIOS) and the operating system is already loaded ). Without SATA device on this expansion card, the boot sequence to work as usual.
