This film brings the humor (which mostly lives off Swiss dialect) considerably successful over as eg the filming of Werner Jacob (with Gustav Knuth as Aim-Uncle), of the classics probably wanted to publish as color film, while the old strip copied almost verbatim and the action has moved into the 60 (!) years. Above all, the performers in B / W film act far more appropriate and original. But the American (!) Film (director, Michael Rhodes) not confident with their attempt of making "Heidi" a kind of Hollywood drama. There, also, already easily recognizable with the naked eye, rollers no longer occupied by Swiss mime. Also no Swiss dialect (!) More, which is what concerns this film for me simply indispensable. But a lot of kitsch and Milka mountains ever seen on the screen background. So if you really want to see a well-executed "Heidi" filming, should resort to this version. She is still unbeaten and it will probably stay that way.
