No not really. The Wicked Chili Slim USB cable for Apple devices is very similar to the original, but is different in addition to the lettering in detail on certain points, such as:

- The color (the Wicked Chili is a little lighter / whiter than the original)
- The length (the Wicked Chili is a bit shorter - about a plug length - than the original)
- The processing (the sheath is a tick thinner than the original).

Functionally, however, is the Wicked Chili cable to the original in every way. The cable is fit and the data transfer works well (tested on iMac, iPad Air and iPhone 6) without a murmur. As a second or replacement cord is the Wicked Chili (what a name) an affordable alternative. A mains plug is not in the way, It is just around the cable. 4 stars
