I was looking for a new PC monitor. I've been using the PC for work, for multimedia applications, as well as for digital satellite TV and BluRay. The PC is with me Schittstelle to almost all media. Accordingly high was the claim that has been put on a monitor. For my very old ViewSonic VP171 I then spent about 400 euros and I was of the opinion that almost every current monitor this, at much lower price, would be superior (though one must differentiate in which categories the superiority shows).
So I ordered the first AOC F22 +, then the Samsung T22A350 and the LG IPS 235V and last but not least the Eizo FS2331-BK.
It looks like I gradually unfortunately parallel to the models, priced wandered upward. But that had his reasons. Ultimately, it is here, but primarily to the Samsung T22A350. The device is being touted as a TV set, as such, it is my opinion, but not suitable and that for one reason: The show-through of the backlight in this intensity is an impertinence. Many films, broadcasts are displayed with letterbox and here disturbs the irregularity with which the backlight shines through (especially in the lower range) at a black background, enormous.
While laudable are the many setting possibilities of the device, so you can also turn down the backlight. First, this is but reconnected with other handicaps and, secondly, the problem is not eliminated, but weakened in its expression only.
Even if the device many interfaces besizt that make it so potentially useful on all occasions, in the most important for me discipline fails the device.
In addition, the black level is acceptable (for a PC monitor), but not outstanding (rather weak for a TV). Compared with the Eizo FS2331-BK here to do worlds.
But the Montitor also has positive sides. In particular, the focus very impressed (as pure Office monitor well suited). The color accuracy is also good. I would also keep the monitor if he had not addressed the vulnerability - which for me is a KO criterion. Note: If you want to judge a monitor in terms of illumination, which can generate different test patterns with the help of test programs. Here the Nokia Monitor Tester or Eizo Monitor Test offers.
Conclusion: For the (advertised) purpose (TV) rather ill-suited as a right.
