The Desire was weaken a brilliant smartphone with small. This could buy the Desire S with me decisive. I should not be disappointed. In the Desire there were so few small weaknesses. For small internal memory, modest speakers and a slightly botched Klink jack. Exactly these points eradicates the Desire S from perfect. The speaker is one of the best in the smartphone market and not to be compared with its predecessor. The internal memory is 1GB more than adequate and the Klink jack has no tendency to malfunction. Even the battery lasts much longer in my opinion. Otherwise it has all the features I loved the previous model. In addition, of course, the exceptional design (as opposed to the Plastikbomber Samsung and others Design cucumbers in the market).
The housing consists of super fine black aluminum (?) And flatters the operator's hand. Only on the back are 2 panels made of rubberized plastic, so that the antennas can work. Here we come to the first negative point. The reception will be strongly limited the "death grip". That is, if you look closely covering the filled plastic areas, the reception can collapse or is severely limited (wireless cellular network as) .The is then probably the price you pay for the pretty unibody design.
The display is in my opinion very good. I had in the previous model, a more colorful Amoled display. Personally, I find the LCD, however, better, because you can read there eyesafe texts. For me, such as Samsung's Super AMOLED screen is not an advantage (but also not a disadvantage, both displays have their strengths and weaknesses). So if you can do without bright colors, has an LCD definitely better off! But the wow effect only the AMOLED display;) I can say that you can not miss the Amoled display in daily life.
We come to the next point, the hardware. No more high-flyer, but good, rock solid hardware at an extremely ingenious price. The hardware is not high end, because single-core processor and no dual-core and GPU (Graphics) is already "obsolete". But I as "Android Geek" find it more than adequate! I also still a smartphone in 1st line is a working tool and not a toy. But on the Desire S also run almost all current Smartphone Games (in other words, I had no one who was not running).
Let's go probably. again a on the Android operating system. For me, the hottest it has to offer the smartphone market. The iPhone is having to "cut" (iTunes, etc.), the BlackBerry can not just so much and Win7 in my opinion is not worth mentioning (I speak from experience, this is not a pre-Fanboy think I can try all OS) , Android, with its various homescreens simply endless customization options with regard to the presentation of a wide variety of information. I, for example, let me push e-mail, SMS, stock quotes, news and weather information via beautiful widgets on the homescreen. Nevertheless, is this freedom some Leuter death. Who wants to have a system that works from the outset and where not much needs to be adjusted, the attacks probably. better to iPhone. But who loves freedom in the design, you should consider purchasing. And my opinion is nothing complicated in the system. One has to just something to get used (is somewhere normal). Otherwise, there is for each task is to take over the phone an app in the Market. Fair to say that the Apple Market is definitely a little better stocked and filled. But I miss nothing. And Android is catching up. In addition, the Android Market, most for free as opposed to Apple pedants.
--------------------------------------
The last point is basically just something for Android geeks who have never experimented with Custom Roms which can confidently skipped)
The most painful for me minus point is the fact that the Desire S is hardly promoted and not be sold worldwide. For this purpose it has a closed bootloader. That is the Customromscene will not be very large and it is hard to imagine operating system alternatives. However, I'm after a few trips to CynogenMod, MIUI etc. think that the software has the HTC Sense is designed with its surface so awesome that you no longer need such alternatives. Personally, I am absolutely satisfied with it and each Otto Normal users will not even miss this limitation, or do not even know that it is a)

Conclusion:
