Hello I've been able to test many mice from different manufacturers, which in my opinion, none of the Manufacturers can compete with Logitech. My review therefore refers in part to the direct comparison with my previous favorite, the Logitech M305. I've bought this mouse as a replacement for my almost 2 year old M305. The M305 (still works perfectly) I've sold a friend, so had to be something new. For my main computer I own a keyboard with Logitech Unifying receiver and a Wired Mouse. To use the new mouse to the laptop, as well as on the computer, I was looking for after a mouse with Unifying receiver. My old M305 still had a "normal" receiver and although I - still - am excited about this mouse, I opted for the M525, because these is equipped with a unifying. The M525 comes in piano black finish and is processed very valuable. Nothing rattles, everything is secure. It is only slightly larger than the M305 and also slightly heavier (due to the two batteries), but this is by no means be regarded as a disadvantage. She is very good in the hand. The wheel can be operated, which I personally like better than the M305 with barely perceptible resistance. One can smoothly scroll through the lines. On the bottom of the on-off switch and the slider are to open the battery compartment, in which even the nano receiver can be accommodated. The radio range is approximately 6 meters. The mouse works on any surface except glass - here one would have to resort to the "Anywhere" from Logitech, which I was able to test also (came also on the short list, but told me not to ultimately form). At first use, I was a little surprised, because there can be seen no activity of the mouse, ie red Laser light. Only the familiar from the M305 green LED at the top lit after turning on briefly. The supplied batteries I have not used here-I trust in the batteries of eneloop. Maintains When M305 a battery with a daily use of 3-5 hours about 4 months (mouse is only during transport off). Theoretically, I would have peace in the M525 over half a year ;-). From me a strong buy recommendation. I hope I could help you in your decision.
SUPPLEMENTARY 20/02/2013 Hab just (after 14 months with the first battery !!!) by set-point will receive the message, the batteries are weak. The mouse carries still reliable service and has to date hardly signs of use.
