I've been looking for the best viable Android phone and from my point of view with the Samsung Mini 2 found.
Conclusion first: Yes, the phone is not perfect, but is * completely * enough!
Display
+ Is easily readable and bright
+ There are smartphones with far better resolution, but the appliance can still very good use (surfing goes, one can not expect miracles to halt on the small display)
+ It is large enough to tap to. I have big fingers and hit the letter is usually very accurate.
Voice quality and speaker sets
+ Understandable and loud (if you want)
+ Speakerphone quality is good
+ Ringing loud (if you want). I have it in a "sock" (protective folio bootie construction) and because it can be in the house and I hear it two spaces further on the terrace.
Android + behavior of applications
+ I have a Galaxy Tab and have installed some of the apps, even here on the Samsung Mini 2. The apps that I use to run, quickly and very usable. Perhaps the device has met with special apps (consuming games, etc.) to its performance limits. For "normal" average Apps the device is very good! (I would have expected that everything is rather cumbersome and slow - but it is not)
+ Memory is plentiful, as I said, I have a number of apps on it.
Haptics
+ In the hand it feels good, the buttons are easy to reach and can be pressed. It is also not difficult. It seems well made.
Accumulator
+ The battery lasts (I have a cell phone but only a few days) probably 2-3 days. Personally, I've been using it a little more intense than an average user (telephone calls, Internet, Apps), the battery is at the end of the day at a charge level of 30-50% and upload it therefore daily overnight.
ADDENDUM 1 TO BATTERY 29/09/2012:
(Use browsing, apps and phone calls) a day normal use comes from well. WLAN deadline battery, I do not recommend. But what really annoys me, the battery power (it goes to just one day, and not much more) and the warning for a nearly empty battery pack, the Felt 3 milliseconds arrives before the actual end.
The battery life is pretty much one day, contrary to my first experience. It happens regularly that I find the phone after a night without charge in the morning completely current empty. Not even a short time it is possible. Nocturnal recharging is a must. What bothers me is not really, because I do it normally anyway. For those who want to play it safe, the (really pleasant small) charger should take when the battery indicates only 1/3 charge.
ADDENDUM 2 Battery 29/09/2012:
The nice, small charger is great because it is still very easy to. The driving on the road thus represents as no hurdle and is recommended schwerstens when you can not get more than 24 to recharge. However, in the charger, I noticed that apparently the plug-in direction is relevant in the power outlet. The smartphone does not charge when the plug-in direction does not fit. So: Loading not, then unplug the charger unit from the wall outlet, turn 180 ° and push back into the socket. Sounds stupid, it is. Is probably with conductor / insulator together, but an electrical engineer will be able to answer that certainly better.
Camera
+ During the day, the camera is usable photos once it is darker, you recognize anything or it is noisy. Who is the mobile phone takes along the hike so reasonably be satisfied (the resolution could be better), who mainly want to take photos at night, will be noted that the device of the flash is missing.
There is probably also negative points (more memory, larger and finer display me personally the shiny chrome frame do not like battery could last longer, camera), but compared to a few hundred euros expensive phones is the Samsung Mini 2 very well equipped and does exactly what it should: be a low-priced, but very usable Android phone.
