The advantages of the machine:
1. Start the PC very fast (less than 10 seconds)
2. A PC and a tablet combined into one object. At any time, it is possible to switch from PC mode (keyboard and tablet connected) to tablet mode (detached keyboard). The link screen tablet / keyboard seems rather solid (to see on long term).
3. Computer completely silent ... except if the hard drive into the keyboard is used (in this case, we can then, like any hard drive, hear her faint sound of operation).
4. No breakdown on the machine (and therefore cover all or part of the computer, does not heat).
5. Design rather elegant, whether the keyboard or tablet (but this is subjective)
6. After 1 month with this hybrid, it appears that the performance is quite pertinent facts: No problem to play movies in HD or play mini-games (eg Trackmania). However, it is clear that the computer will not be suitable for demanding games much resources.
7. Excellent battery life: 8 hours of battery life observed using Word
8. Fast recharge battery: 2 hours, the battery from 0% to 100%.
9 ° Touchscreen tablet & keyboard: The touch is obviously not the accuracy of the smartphone (but enough to be usable). The keyboard is fully adapted to the office.
The disadvantages (and possible palliative):
1 32GB memory in the tablet which, after installing Windows 8.1, finally leaves only 11GB free.
=> Ability to extend the tablet via Micro SD memory 128GB (personally, it was a Samsung 64GB Micro SD) and / or using a hard disk in the keyboard.
2. No hard disk drive in the keyboard-T200TA CP003H model (this is clearly stated on the purchase, resulting in a lower price)
=> But it is possible to buy or even a hard drive if one wants to expand consistently available space (although it should not exceed 7 mm of thickness). Personally, I've opted for the Hard Drive "SEAGATE Momentus Thin Laptop SSHD - 2.5 inches - 500 GB + 8GB SSD - 5400 rev / min - 64 MB - SATA 6Gb / s" (for his report: space-available [500gb ] / speed-disk [SSHD drive] / noise-disk [fairly quiet] / price).
Note: To use a new internal hard drive: simply remove a screw and insert the hard drive into the keyboard. Then, in Windows, you must go to the "Control Panel" and then "storage spaces" and finally "create a new storage space." The hard disk will now be recognized by Windows.
3. No LED indication to whether the keypad is currently locked on uppercase or not (via the Shift / Caps Lock key)
=> The keyboard-leds.exe software displays a discreet pop up at the bottom of this screen to see where the capital letters are activated
4. No USB port on the tablet (two on the keyboard by cons)
=> However, it is possible to buy for a few euros, a USB OTG cable (the goal being to be able to connect to the tablet: USB sticks, hard drives, joysticks, mouse etc ... without having to use the keyboard )
5. No HDMI port (either on the shelf or on the keyboard)
=> It is possible to use a "microHDMI HDMI Male HDMI Female Adapter" in order to connect the tablet to a TV (without the keyboard is required).
6. Remote unusable keyboard: The keyboard can only work if it is physically connected to the tablet (the keypad so it can not communicate with the tablet via Bluetooth)
=> A "defect" that can not be remedied by buying a bluetooth keyboard
7. The weight of the keyboard and the tablet together, may possibly hinder some people (1,65kg). In this case, it may be preferable to look to the Asus T100.
=> Personally, no worries related to the weight of the machine.
8. The Microsoft Office suite is not included in the free T200TA
=> On the T100TA, not what worries-there but for office with T200TA must: use Wordpad / Open Office or buy Office suite ....
9 ° Several people spoke light leakage as default T200TA
=> In everyday life, I do not notice this defect (whether before a Film / Word / Mozilla / Chrome etc ...) as it is only visible (but not annoying) when the screen is all black.
10 ° Many non-removable components: Battery / Memory Ram / internal memory of the tablet (only the internal hard drive of the keyboard is easily replaceable)
