At my D5200 is not sharp!

I was very impressed by the good reviews on this lens, so I ordered it on a whim. The processing, handling, manual focus - top, as described often. (This is why two stars)
But - at the first photos instantly sobering: not a single really sharp photo! The faces looked "mushy", in close-ups the focus was clearly behind the target area. Even at two other Nikons same problem.
The conversion of Amazon went quickly and easily, just four days later, a second Sigma 18-35. The first photos: seemingly a bit better - but not enough! Become unsafe, I even sent my D5200 for inspection when I had back in his hand, the focus was still not to the point where I had set it.
However, other lenses (Tamron 18-270; Nikon 10-24mm; Nikon Micro 40 / 2.8; Sigma 120-400mm) were for some time without any problems at our cameras in use.
So I sent it back again.
The small number of Nikon - Customerpictures would perhaps have warned me ...
Overall, I have to say, as "Always top" it would be too heavy for me, too big and too top-heavy. And the focal length range then too limited.

Meanwhile, I / 2.8 XR LD ASPHERICAL IF ordered a Tamron SP AF 17-50mm F and am happy for the first picture with this lens :)
