Atrocious! 20 hours staring ne blank wall makes more sense than this book!

When I read "Uglies" finished and the estimated thousandth time (because so many start-ups hats used) to print on the cover saw that says I just think a "New York Times bestseller" in the hands, I had unfortunately like a pretty bad joke before.

Basically, I had hoped Westerfelds trilogy beginners relatively much since I found the idea of ​​the novel totally interesting, but what came next, quite a few question mark was a bitter mixture of mental torture from yawning boredom, huge lack of understanding, constant skepticism in my brain and extremely pronounced antipathy towards the protagonist of the book, which is increasing more and more, although you might think at the beginning: "Worse kanns not be."

But let's start at the very beginning. We are located in the far future, humanity (or just one country or one continent ??? We do not know, because it is not explained) is divided into classes, which, as it seems at first, separated only by externals. Each "Ugly" is replaced by the age of 16 years a plastic surgery and lives thereafter in "New Pretty Town". Explained is not why this operation is taking place at the age of 16 years and for which the "Uglies" before 'serve' then.
I tried to explain to me the time of surgery logically, have considered, for example, whether it may have something to do with the body development, but the human body is of course with 16 not yet fully developed and I finally came to the conclusion that Westerdeld easy age has chosen 16, so he has his protagonists at an early age. Worth mentioning, however, are Tallys travel to the "Smoke", a passage that was so boring that I have at times considered to be the pages or the passage, break into the Tally and some other figures in the headquarters of the secret police and so me nothing you nothing all captives without any resistance, which was not only totally implausible, but just as the majority of the book, described totally unexciting and boring.

The biggest annoyance for me was however protagonist Tally, the most unpleasant novel protagonist Bella Swan in Twilight for 4 to read the name alone makes me afterwards been such mad because I have excited me while reading constantly about the pearl.

My question is: Was that your intention, Mr. Westerfeld? Or is that all a result of their rather mediocre to bad writing style? After all seen stylistically leaves the Roman lot to be desired ...

The answer will certainly be: You have to read the successor, but I have to say: No, thank you! "Uglies" has served me really and not even painful, unbearable boredom would be a reason for me to take this book or the successor in the hand !!!
