Mounted on a road bike triban 5 decathlon since about 5000 kms.
I put mtb pedals road biking, mountain biking shoes are much too practical to return to those of road due to the small power gain) and this since 2011 and already well traveled 25000 kms.
The idea is excellent and perfect this dual possible use, I use the bike for 2 or 3% in cities with classical types of shoes / sports when I'll make a run or go see friends (to avoid the car and congestion), and the rest road split about 50/50 between ride use by (30-220 kms) and use "sport" (5-170 km, few regional races but very few).
Overall these pedals are fine, so why not a 4/5 better.
Just because the lateral support is not ideal, not constant, not the same on both pedals, I often feel like pedaling with feet that are not aligned properly and am forced to "search" position perfect.
Another negative point, when sending power suddenly, for example when reminders, group or just to overtake a car, sometimes there is a little play and pedaling becomes less "round" that 'with my old pedals (SPD compatible with decathlon btwin who held just over 19,000 kms in two years), it seems that the hold means shoes off but in fact it is just the game that created this effect.
