Connection in a Mazda 3 BK (Bj '06) went smoothly, all USB sticks and SD cards have been detected, played files.
As with the Yatour and XCarLink2 occur when accessing the storage media interference, which can be clearly heard at the switched off engine. When driving, they are drowned out by the engine - well that's not the same.
Unlike Yatour occurs when song changes to no loud click. There are also less often swallowed the first few seconds of the song. But it probably has no gapless support also. As a workaround for the ingestion has it in itself to generate a few seconds of silence while creating the MP3 at the beginning of the file (eg with foo_dsp_silence for foobar2000). The audio quality is otherwise good.
However, the Anycar has another problem - the "back" button does not seem to function properly at half the songs - the time display changes to 0:00, but nothing happens. During double pressing the device jumps as expected to the previous song. The cord is firmly on the radio, a contact problem, it is not. I've tried all three "Mazda" settings, no changed to the behavior somewhat, no reset of the device.
The anycar device has an interesting feature - Talkover AUX. In theory, this means that once the AUX signal will be played (eg Naviansage), the device switches on. Once the signal is gone, is switched back. Practically it works unfortunately not so good: the device needs up to 3 seconds to determine the signal to the AUX - the announcement is of course long gone. As a kind of hands-free one could use it but.
The folder must not be labeled with CD01 CD02 .... If the files are located in the root directory on the USB stick, otherwise the first folder on the stick will be as CD01 treated. The songs are played in the order in which they were _kopiert_, not in the alphabetical. With all such devices seems to be the same. Shuffle is not supported as opposed to Yatour / XCarLink2 - although the radio will light the symbol, the title will be played but still linear. This is because not mentioned in the description only in passing.
Conclusion: After all, no loud click at song change more, but above all the semi-functioning "back" button is very annoying.

As it stands, the device has a problem with high bitrate MP3s. When using encoder LAME in "-V2 --vbr-old --strictly-enforce-ISO", it works. About 256kbps will not be playable from the beginning. The decoder probably seems to have too small a buffer and therefore comes under special circumstances to a halt. For example, if there is a peak bit rate at the beginning of the song. I can only come from a lack of quality control in the design of the device.
Etc. Who MP3 from Youtube used should not have any problems.
