Obsidian did everything right: Kickstarter (about 70,000 supporters) reingesteckt lot of passion, delivered a complete success and get: the success is granted to them, they have earned genuine,
have been received on the wishes of the fans,
as I said as fans of BGI & II were developed with the design and!
Also think 90-95% of all Kickstarter supporters are happy with the result.
100% can satisfy no one (except me because I am there, and her out there too :-))
The game: You must be able to engage in it, and plenty of time to bring (even for reading!). Let us build up around calm and cozy atmosphere: Here we go!
The backgrounds are all drawn lovingly and very detailed in love, you like looking around. The figures are 3-D models, which placed in near-push something (plastic) acts, but in normal Zoom does not really stand and integrated well.
Speech is English and usually only the most important scripts are set to music, the rest you have to read (short overcome and it works!) All the texts / menus are the way German available, and the few translation errors in the dialogs are probably. even with NEM patch removed everything easy.
The music, the atmosphere, the design, the noise when the party is rustling through the meadows, the fights etc, everything is based on the founding fathers Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale.
So far I have about 25 hours of gameplay, and I think I've just completed a quarter, it's really huge, if you do not blindly run and everything wegklickt, it is not an action rpg people! It is not fast or drum to finish first, but to enjoy, to share the joy and nostalgia during the game. When it's over I'll be sad because it's over.
Best suited for those who "time" to the 386/486 (like me) or Pentium 2 (madness) BG have gambled and lost in the world, it will come in 2015 ;-)
