Good comments and "deemed" brand this drive led me to make the choice of Rikiki model. The USB 3.0 connection was also a determining factor. Yet after just three months of use, the disc showed malfunctions (spurious connections and repeated disconnections) and then it was no longer accessible. The disc had always remained flat on the desk. Too confident, I had not yet made a double backup. Three months is so little ... LaCie has not agreed to support the recovery of my data by merely Hardware Warranty section. It remains the choice of losing all data by replacing or repairing the unit, or else by settling a large sum to make them recover. This unreliability causes harm that deserves to be reminded and stressed. LaCie also seems indifferent to early failure and it could be deduced that the problem is not exceptional since not considered. My mail received an email response to which I could not answer directly. Unreliable equipment and service rigid sales force me to discourage the purchase. Personally, I will turn to another brand for dual backup. A star for a fair price and an attractive design but are now secondary criteria. The hard drive was sent to my LaCie fees that returned to me quickly state, but without my data.
