Barette memory for laptop, recently installed on a laptop from the beginning of 2004, with a processor 1.5 Ghz Centrino (Centrino type "Banias" processor architecture "nomenclaturée" under the Centrino appellation type "BANIAS"), it allows me to benefit from a contribution of significant additional memory, so that old PC always very well with Windows 7! no problem! and it can also play DVDs in a reasonable quality, just correct (and that's enough for a very old machine), ... the memory increased from 512MB to 1.25 Giga, ... it is a gain undeniable memory, the memory of this old "Sony Vaio" equipped with an ATI Mobility 9200, managed to ride slowly on the NET, and now it's really good ... For video playback, improved well appreciated! ... Undoubtedly the investment in this barrette 1 Giga CORSAIR VALUE SELECT brand (brand Good!) Allows enough net gain in performance and solves many problems playing videos (the only ATI card equipped with an integrated video memory 64MB rowed incredibly !!! !!! ... A big gain in fluiditée and video !! fiabilitée, although this is still in "reasonable and fair standards correct playback quality term" (eg DVD playback almost acceptable.).
On an old laptop PC on which you installed Windows 7 with adoption of a standard VGA driver !!!! and not an old pilot not updated Windows XP ... and therefore incompatible with windows 7 !!!! .... Barrette this memory will bring you a real power gain.
Branded memory module "Corsair" Value type Select PC 2700 is running at DDR 333 MHz SO DIMM for laptops only! Barette good quality, very easy to install (in my case) a few screws, clip and presto it's good.
Update My comment: If your PC is old, stay preferably on XP, I added an additional 1 GB of barrette, video playback etc ... !!! everything is extra !!!
