When the sun is low in the early morning or late evening, the images are completely outshines and license plates are virtually unreadable.
The mounting bracket is useless to say the least. You always have to take the entire camera to the mount out of the car. It is possible to have only with much fumbling the suction cup in the car and take the camera separately. This ball connection between the camera and the suction cup is so difficult to solve that one, the only one makes and can be followed. Here I'd better mount, perhaps like to see with a magnet system such as in TomTom navigation devices, so you can make the electrical connections and the holder in the car and you can take the camera only, which is not currently possible, however.
The solution of the bracket and the electrical connection at the side of the camera via a USB cable is just annoying.
Otherwise, during daylight, the quality of the recordings is impeccable and the camera is simple and easy to use.
The included software is useless on the Mac. I will not get on the Mac to run. Under Windows 8.1, the included software works. The easiest way is this not even to use and to use the VLC Player.
Conclusion: shots are okay. The handling of dashcam and the suction cup is absolutely unacceptable and should definitely be improved.
I'll keep the dashcam, but I would not buy this camera again because the fumbling with the brackets and cables is just annoying.
