Batteries:
With the batteries I'm quite happy to be. However, let capacity and power after a few days to weeks of storage over time greatly after. Even the promised load times of the flash are respected only when freshly charged batteries. One set is now completely flat, still works with a capacity 2Ah area, but increasingly self-discharge faster. Meanwhile, I would (like Eneloop) access for use photo more likely to be 2100 / 2500mAh maxE. Capacity makes in practice virtually no difference, the lower self-discharge is however already clearly noticeable, if you use the device not daily.
Charger:
The Photocam III is to be in order. Rechargeable batteries can only be charged in pairs, which are sufficient for most cases. Sometimes it seems to have little contact difficulties and facing 5min already "full", turning slightly to the cells, it jumps back to red and Loading continue a few hours. Otherwise, the charge is in order. Only minimal deviation between 1/2 and 3/4 and the cells are full.
About a year ago (ie an irregular after 6 years of use) has one of the capacitors adopted with a bang, 2 months later the next. Are simplest standard components, actually to be expected as the price. I have just replaced, which is probably not for everyone an option. Should be repaired is priced barely worthwhile.
Somewhere under the dash an acceptable product to an acceptable price. Have the charger usually in the camera bag, because it is halfway to save space (über'm in the gap plug will fit the charger of my camera). I have certainly not spared, part 3 sets batteries charged at a time and put in everything the necessary voltage supplies, according to the service life is still justifiable.
