The flip cover offers good protection for the front and back of the phone. It replaces the original back cover of the phone, thereby making it but just by a little over 1 mm thicker than the S4 Mini was before. Added to this is the thickness of the front cover - which is of course intentional. Thus, the phone is now about 12 mm thick. By comparison, the thickness without flip cover: 9.3 mm I had my previous S3 Mini already such a flip cover (also original SAMSUNG). The additional job where I came through the back cover before not as big - at least he was not there I noticed as disadvantageous.
What I like: The positions of the high / low volume buttons are on the hinge by + and - marks. You can use the buttons through the hinge also. Thus, you can make calls with a closed cover and change the volume while trotzem.
