I use the battery only for my Nissin flash in my DSLR and am always amazed at how long they persevere. The last store my charger BC-700 has nearly 2700mAh pumped into each battery - a very good value. And since we are already talking about the topic: the charger is indeed pretty (some find it cope even annoying) illuminated in blue, but a reasonable charge indicator is missing as well as the supervision of each cell - thus, all batteries are treated regardless of your state of charge equal. This is for the batteries and their life does not exactly optimal. In addition, you can remove the battery after inserting difficult out of the device.
For self-discharge of the batteries I can not say anything because they never lie unused long with me.
Conclusion: The batteries are quite recommendable, the charger can do without. Especially since you have here what gets halfway sensible for little money - the battery will thank anyway.
