What is very painful, and this applies to all brands is that manufacturers now provide CD-ROM or software to install to be able to transfer photos to computer and do editing; in the case of this camcorder which requires installing the software 'Play Memories Home' need to upload to the site [...]. And this is where it gets less funny: it's Windows format, and I work on a Mac! And how can I do now? This was also the case with my previous camera, yet a Canon, the brand that is supposed to be Mac-friendly ... No response in the record, no customer service website ... The manual refers to a Japanese site! When I put my SD card in my Mac, I can get photos without a problem, but the videos do not appear ...
The GPS function is more a gadget, and only works in open spaces (not inside). Personally, it does not interest me too much. I would have preferred that the brand provides a bag to carry the camcorder.
Consider buying an SD card with at least 16 GB quickly or at the same time as it is not supplied with the camcorder! I advise this one, that works perfectly: Lexar - LSD16GCTBEU400 - Memory Card - SDHC - 16GB - Speed 400X
