I have the equipment now in use for several days with a Windows 7 64-bit system. The connected through USB was no problem. Then I tried to set up Wi-Fi (with Fritz box) and it did not work out. Manual Setup of WLAN is not possible, there are only WPS and if that is not possible a meaningless error message "connenction failed". After much practice, we went finally still.
Another problem are the drivers. HP offers on its website 4 different drivers, it only makes just the non-sale PCL5 driver (up to now) no problems. The two advanced PCL6 drivers are buggy, although the PostScript driver will print, but no preferences can be set.
Now for printing itself: The printer is fast and the colors bright kräfig. This results in very fine text and graphics. The technical resolution is 600 dpi, pictures are printed with 150 pixels per inch, which is OK, but if you want a photo printer, probably needs just 1200 dpi.
For toner usage I can not say anything because too little experience.
Conclusion: Those who do not shy away from potential trouble setting up, finally finds a good printer for text and graphics. For a global brand like HP, the driver issues are, however, not acceptable, so I can not really recommend the printer.
