The lantern is very compact, has an attractive design, is robust and well priced. The light output is sufficient for orientation in 3-person tent, for reading need be. With 4 AA batteries however you would expect a greater luminous efficacy. Other lanterns have, are significantly more expensive and larger, but the difference for example Lite Express Camp 200 is so great that the latter wins the race, although more expensive.
