For device's to say that the price / performance ratio is simply unmatched. You get a 50 "screen for under 850 with a lot of equipment. Without the posted reviews below with valuable advice, I would, however, again sent the device back to Amazon, because the correct initial setup is software-related terribly time consuming and really do not's for beginners. However, this is also due to the included remote control, as you only need to click through hereby nested menus to the desired setting. With a "normal" remote control, which is available as an option, to get there faster's goal. The factory preset picture options have me absolutely not promised. However, it is not easy to adjust his image itself, because you can change as many parameters that you are thus almost overwhelmed. Only after I had read through some technical forums, I found that really good configurations. Now the picture is really super great. Movies in 3D to see also is fun and at the display size in terms of quality, almost like in the movies. However, what has surprised me most is the good sound. Despite the flatness you do not feel that the sound comes out of a tin - absolutely not! Here LG has really given some thought and managed with little resonance chamber to produce rich sound. Of course you have also since screws a little to the parameters, because the factory defaults by no means the pick out what the system really can. Just a pity that you can run in parallel with the headphones not built-in speakers and separately adjust the volume. But you can not have everything.
The price is simply unbeatable and you get when you take the bad software purchase, a lot of power. For other manufacturers you might have some good software, but also costs something from 1,500 upwards. Overall, however, it is enough because my vote only for 3 stars, which tend more to the 4th star.
******* ****** UPDATE 31.03.2014
Have the unit now even insert a few weeks in operation and would like a quick update:
Compared to more expensive devices hardware at LG's probably a bit smaller dimensions. This is most apparent in mind that it comes to blurring in fast movements. You can compensate for this something where you take some sharpness in the settings, which in turn leads to more free computing resources in the system. I've also still buy the LG remote control, with which I personally much better get along, because you can control functions directly in order by pressing a button, without having to click first with the accompanying show-FB through the Menu.
You have to accept some compromises in this TV set up. The value for money is still unbeatable.
