:: Packaging & Installation ::
Since it is individual bulbs, these are sold in small boxes with no frills. Also located out of the bulb and a small information leaflets nothing in the package.
Need to install the bulbs they are screwed and turned on only in a lamp base. Then light up at full strength and can be found on the smartphone app. Simply looking at the app in the settings for new bulbs. This usually takes no 10 seconds. Done.
:: Features, Operation & App ::
The Lux bulbs can only play a warm white light, in addition but also dimmable. They have a slightly higher luminosity than normal Hue pears (when comparing the lumen values: 750 to 600 lumens) and should therefore, according to Philips comply with a 56 watt bulb.
Play through a lack color, the operation created in the app as something complicated or otherwise. You can create what is regrettable no scenes from photos or light recipes, because the Lux bulbs can any available scene be added. Accordingly, it is somewhat more complicated to create new scenes or edit old. This is where the third-party apps, the lamp management better handle than the official app. But that would be the only point of criticism and not even to the bulbs.
Because otherwise radiate the Lux lamps in a wonderfully pleasant warm white, not too bright and not too dark. They thus are perfect wherever you can do without colored light or does not need it. The dimming is just as fast as with the other Hues and of course the Lux in timer, alarm configurations can be integrated or be operated as per IFTTT. I use the Lux bulbs in the office, as a reading lamp and lighting of corridors, where I let them also automatically switch off late at night. It could not be any more.
Highly recommended, it is also located zuzulegen Hue Tap switch to conveniently address the pears without smartphone can. What else is sometime confusing especially when many pears, rooms and scenes.
:: Conclusion ::
I am excited about the Lux bulbs. It offers a really nice light and costs only half the normal Hue pears. Thus, the whole apartment can faster and more convenient to switch to wifi-controlled LED lighting. Especially for areas where you really need no colored light, but do not want to miss the comfort of the Hue Lux are perfect. Operation is (except for the slightly different way to create new scenes) just as easily as in the other bulbs from the Hue series. Highly recommended.
