I expected a lot from this volume as in the previous two it disseminates information on this couple and it looked very promising. Yet I have not been as affected as I would have wanted. I found Chessy well easily forgave her husband his mistakes, in fact I would have liked to see a little more of repentance from Tate.
Indeed it ultimately keeps his soul from dominating from start to finish and Chessy remains a subject even in times of crisis it becomes a bit dominant. A new variable intervenes and almost immediately it loses foot and back to her husband, something I have not found very real.
Rest assured there is the beauty of the feather Maya Banks in this opus, is also what saves history. So I enjoyed reading it, but without much enthusiasm as is usual with this author.
