Besides learning Spanish

In my opinion, this book is very well suited to all those who have reasonably solid basic knowledge of Spanish and want to improve it. It can not only be relatively easy to read (well - has already been mentioned as here - because of the many dialogues), but is also very enjoyable, just like the German or English version. Therefore, one can swallow it with relish, while the way to learn Spanish. Besides, I can only advocate that in the Spanish translation - differently than apparently in the French - English proper names have been retained. This simplifies reading for all those who know the book already, even more.
A tip: every single word that you do not know if you look up, the whole thing is quite cumbersome. Most eventually reveals itself so out of context, and the importance can be guessed at many terms also.
