Other positives of the Xido after a month of use:
* Battery surprising - 2-3 days not very intensive use on 3G, without WiFi. I was expecting a day as other notices
* Andoid 4.4 almost basic - almost excellent, I would have liked better 5.0. The two extra apps, I do not remember what was, but they have gone in the first ignition
* Performance at a premium phone 2013 (Galaxy S4 / Nexus 4) on web applications - good response time, 95% fluid animations
* Touch ok, nothing more. It takes him some time to understand that we want to zoom. As advanced user it does not bother me that much, but a beginner can believe that we must press harder or that it does not "properly". I would have preferred more responsive and I think the concern is the digitizer driver that takes too processor. The problem should be repaired with an Update of Xido Waiting .. :)
On the negative side, we must keep in mind that this tablet costs 140 (to date) and not the 300 a Galaxy TAB4:
* Oke screen, nothing more. I knew he is a very good TN without side angles. The screen is exactly that - a TN screen with a bitch of view of 30-50 °, colors a bit vague and not very pronounced contrast. I repeat; I knew it, I put no star less because of that because the price of a screen is among the most important cost vectors, it is understandable that Xido also put a screen input range
* Rear camera - a fixed-focus 2MP no "depth of field". It can remember the Blackberry 2010, pretty bad. In a future revision of Xido I expect to spend one more on the BOM and add at least the fixed-focus 5MP Nokia 435. The pictures outside in bright light with still subjects (such as trees if no wind) ... it will go. The good thing about this camera is that it exists, so we can surprise some nice times.
* Front camera - quickly tested on a video hangouts, a little dark, but acceptable. A less good version of the rear camera, but in front it may be less important
Other points:
* FM radio, for those who do not have a radio 5 next
* GPS which sets in 2-3 minutes with no network or WiFi; faster than a Moto G, Galaxy S4, similar with a Nexus 4
* Dual SIM; I use one, it works as expected
* SD card - I think the maximum is 64GB. A 32GB Class 10 Kingston works perfectly
* There are more than 60 reviews on amazon.de, so in German. I do not know much German, but a search engine can help
* In addition the tablet comes in German - with my bare minimum I could pass in a language I know better. There are all Android 4.4 AOSP translations
For me, this tablet is the best choice to 150th if you need a large screen and 3G. The performance of a Galaxy S4 with the penultimate Android, a good battery and a camera that is better than nothing - it says it all. It's the tablet that runs into retirement the PC of my parents, while being less expensive, easier to use, and do not forget, due to 3G mobile.
