Best compact camera currently offering great value for money

I wanted them to last a long wait and am absolutely satisfied now. I have now made the camera 2 weeks and approximately 500 images. I was on the purchase of the camera particularly good image quality and a good video mode at heart. My previous cameras TZ7 and TZ10 I had sold again because of the high image noise. The images of the WB2000 are all excellent. Very little noise and excellent sharpness. Here, the bright lens becomes noticeable. The feel of the camera is wertig because consists of the metal housing. Even the battery cover and the cover of the USB connector work stable. The display is absolutely terrific and leaves with his great resolution, even the smallest features views directly to the camera. An important point was the video mode for me. And I must say that the camera does a very good job. The videos look very detailed and are (not 1080i) recorded at 1080p. Moreover the video PC or Mac are stored in the same friendly format ".mp4". This saves the annoying converting AVCHD format (.mts), so that they are compatible with popular programs (eg iPhoto on Mac) Anyway, I can recommend the camera without restriction. Slight criticism would be the scroll wheel, which is not particularly sensitive and thus the quick setting of 10od. 5 od. 3 frames / sec, Precaptureing, etc bit difficult (but I use rather rare).

+ Very good image quality (always sharp, rich in detail and low noise)
+ Very good video mode with 1920x1080p 30fps (MP4 format instead AVHCD mts)
+ Zoom in Video with focus tracking
+ High-speed video, but a lower resolution
+ Tactile surface (metal casing) and very good processing (all seems very solid)
+ Great AMOLED display
+ CMOS sensor with great shooting functions
+ RAW output format possible (very rare for compact)

Neutral:
o Menüfuhrung not 100% intuitive, easy to learn, however,
o very short charging cable for the PC rechargeable because USB cable = charging cable
o Battery and Memory analog display are not when the camera is active, but now highly appreciated and practical feature
o quality of the images during filming are worse than in the normal picture mode (= still image from the recorded video)

Negative
- Dial next to the thumb rest is not responding optimally

Conclusion:
The WB2000 is an excellent compact camera with super features and great image and (most importantly) video quality. The dropouts, hanger and artifacts of other users I could not confirm. However, I immediately updated after purchase to the latest firmware, which was also very easy for the rest. I am glad to have sold my TZ10 (extreme noise), even if I have to give up the big zoom.

For me, the perfect camera.

Now, after a number of photos and videos I know the camera to appreciate once. All images Knack sharp and detailed. The videos are very impressive in Full HD. Since the camera records the video in .mp4, I can edit right on the Mac and add them to iPhoto or Aperture. AVCHD videos that are stored in nested folders and must be imported only in iMovie, are simply annoying and time consuming.

The camera is definitely undervalued here.

- 30 frames / sec Full HD has no other compact, all in stereo
- 24mm wide angle at a Super Aperture -> expected to also be closely in competition
- AMOLED display, where you really have everything looks exactly -> just great
- Practical analog displays for battery and memory -> amazing how well it helps in everyday life
- Many many settings, including contrast, saturation, sharpness can actually nothing to be desired -> who are not familiar, can remain in Auto mode
- Flash intensity can be adjusted in 5 stages, which for example an over-exposure of macro shots very well prevented
- Clearly needs the camera fast SDHC card Class 10 best who is filming with an old slow card and is surprised that the problem lies, should not be surprised
- Battery lasts normal, wenns a longer trip should be, then there's cheap replacement batteries, so no problem
- Charging cable is very short, but it awesome, it does not need a charger are entrained. The cable loads and transmits the data and thus saves space in your suitcase

The camera is a clear buy. No idea what the other users for problems. had with the action. I've never had defective photos or videos (latest firmware is installed and 16GB SDHC class 10 in use). I would buy again and again - for 245 euros Real paid (then had 300 paid)
