Very easily. I have an old PC (VGA port) but a new monitor (DVI-D). So I needed a Adapter.
Stupidly, I ordered me a converter VGA to HDMI. Sometimes products fail just yet to the customer and not on the technology. HDMI is just not the same as DVI. Normally, I would get upset about such customers themselves ;-)
But anyway, my monitor has indeed HDMI ports. So infected adapter on the PC, HDMI cable connected, works flawlessly!
The adapter does exactly what it should. Kindly are even cable in order to feed audio signals into the adapter and transmitted via HDMI. It makes sense if you want to connect an old PC to a TV, projector or Co.
BUT BEWARE!
The adapter is wider than a normal VGA cable! When connected to the PC so it can depending on the location of the VGA connector be space problems (in my example, onboard VGA) as the VGA connector is too close to the housing!
CONCLUSION: The adapter does what he should. It converts VGA signals to digital signals, and provides even all necessary cables. Exemplary !!
