To be honest, the snorkeling in most cases is unnecessary. But anyone who has been waiting in heavy seas in the open sea on his boat or had to rescue someone in domestic sea who knows his snorkel to appreciate. However, the snorkel to the mask in the normal dive in my opinion, is disturbing. The snorkel is folded (almost) well stowed in each (Jacket- / Belt / Bellow-) bag and immediately at hand. The snorkel keeper I have however made from, as I snorkel between the mask tape and head einklemme when needed. This is possible because the intermediate piece is made of plastic and not made of silicone - otherwise, this piece would pinched and possibly would not let enough air. The exhaust valve and splash guard works as it should.
