We use it in our bedroom. It is on our windowsill opposite of the beds. Since we have no outlet there, we looked for a night light, which is aligned with batteries. I have tried several night lights before I bought the Lunartec LED Night Light as absolute favorites.
Important for us was also the beam angle of only 90 °, to have a few motion. But why we have placed such emphasis on a small beam angle? The motion we have set up so that it starts when we get out of bed. If the viewing angle is higher, the motion would start with every move in the bed, which would be unnecessary and pointless. So the light comes on only when we get out of bed. Then the motion detector lights about 20 seconds is sufficient to come for example to the toilet. After these 20 seconds the blue 3 white LEDs go very slowly again. On the way back up to 6 m range recognized immediately my motion and the motion immediately jumps again. It is a very pleasant light that illuminates good, but the eye does not hurt. The motion detector has 3 switch settings: continuous light sensor off. Running a motion detector with batteries as a continuous light, I find excessive waste, because you have to buy new ones, which is much too costly every few days. We provide every evening the integrated motion sensor, and in the morning again. I would never have believed that the batteries should last as long. We run our motion now for almost half a year with 4 AAA batteries and had no batteries rebuy before. The first day we had to get used to it, turn off the motion detector after the morning getting up. But why should it during the day when you enter the room, jump? In this way we could really save batteries. And the sturdy 34 x 105 x 31 mm large Lunartec is. As it stands in our window sill, it happens that I forget him when the window opens and he falls down. But so far he has considered without taking damage each fall.
Priced at only 10.90 you can actually nothing wrong.
Conclusion: Anyone looking for a motion sensor with a low viewing angle, long-range, battery-powered, extremely economical and very pleasant in the dark to the eye at a great price-performance ratio, which is absolutely right with the Lunartec LED Night Light with motion sensor.
We just buy it.
