Construction and equipment:
Only the feet must be screwed, overall there are 8 screws festzuzuziehen, ie in 3 minutes done. The device is very easy and very good in my opinion (contrary to other reviews here). Done with tuning and network setup in 5 minutes and then you can start.
Style:
Fasting in black, at the bottom edge of a glass. The base is made of plastic, but looks nice and is stable (has indeed gone mad, because the device is very easy).
Connections:
Those without satellite TV, the ES6100 should accept (identical to the ES6300 until Sat). Furthermore, there are 3 HDMI sockets, component input, SPDIF Out, 1x Scart-In, Headphones-out, network (+ WLAN) and three USB. Two USB and HDMI are mounted laterally and well erreichtbar.
Display:
That's display is slightly dull, not reflected as a pane of glass. I personally find very pleasant, because you look not only at night tv. Even with a black screen and full brightness I can no problems in terms of illumination notice (Clouding). Banding I could not watch. The device has a light sensor to control the backlight -> handy funktiert well and saves. The device has 200Hz CMR, so probably about real 100Hz. Since there are devices which have more (400 Hz CMR), but which are considerably more expensive. Unless tested sindvon me but the 200 Hz CMR in 2D is more than sufficient to represent a very fluid image even during fast movements. The device has no Microdimming, but has none in this price range.
Features:
There are supplied with batteries 2 3D Eyewear that will last for 150 hours. Operating. The glasses are extremely light (25g) and very suitable for eyeglass wearers. The glasses use for communication I think Bluetooth instead of IR. Otherwise the remote control, a power cable and a screen cloth is only supplied.
Features:
The Media Player to play USB or network is well managed and accepted very many (including 3D) formats (unlike Sony devices). Playback via network also works (via AllShare) very well. Output Dolby Digital or DTS from USB via SPDIF also works. Recording to USB is also supported.
The extrapolated from 2D to 3D is difficult to judge, as it is very dependent on the source material. If it is material with apparent depth gradation (eg non-football) so the image is gaining significantly by 3D depth and plasticity, but can not be compared with real 3D material.
The SmartHub contains many functions (if you need them is another question), but is well sorted and clearly.
Update function via Internet works perfectly and quickly.
The function menu is extensive, the settings for the image are very large and allow plenty of fine tuning (this is also true for the 3D image).
Conclusion: All in all a very good device and at this price probably the best (46 inch, 3D, 700-800).
