I have the Minix Neo X5 for only a few days, but would like to share my first impressions with you.
First of all, connect the Neo X5 on a LG 47 "LED TV (via HDMI).
Why I bought an Android TV Box?
My LG TV has a browser, various apps, but no wireless. A network cable
I did not want to relocate. In addition, the LG own browser is not really for streaming
with my Western Digital MyBook, via Twonky or app, suitable. The cache was in tests quickly
full and the TV browser crashed.
I on my Android devices (eg Asus TF300), the Western Digital's app "WD 2Go" use,
the idea was to bring my data via Android on the TV.
The Neo X5 and Google's Play Store without problems.
Configuration / installation:
Network Integration - typical Android. Featured with me is not a problem.
The basic settings of the X5 are actually already well - I've only
Adapted language and resolution.
WiFi - often we read in the Android TV Sticks that the WLAN coverage is very short or
the reception is poor. I hoped, therefore, that the Neo X5 is better here.
My wireless router is away from the Neo 5m. The reception is very good.
(5m is now definitely not the distance)
Control - I bought the Logitech K400. The WiFi USB Stick is without
Identified problems.
Hence, therefore, the keyboard and the touchpad is functional => control well.
A few tests I've done so far:
AnTuTu Benchmark v3 ... 9767 points (CPU 3669; 3611 GPU; RAM 1711; I / O 776)
Vellamo benchmark ... HTML5 1521 points / Metal 489 points
GTA3 runs. Interestingly, my PS3 controller can be connected via USB cable to the Neo and
even works. I mean, I can play GTA with the Playstation controller.
Streaming via WD 2GO - pictures, music, videos without any problems.
USB Stick - vob files run without jerking (MX Player).
Many Greetings
