to me, an ambitious amateur photographer with more than 20 years, "hardware" experience.
Motivation to buy this product: travel tripod packable
The main criticism: the rotating closures are difficult to handle both during closing, as well as open later at.
Motivation to this criticism: I have no experience with the product. But the flaws with the closures appear serious and I do not feel that you get used to it, otherwise I would have saved me the criticism.
But first things first:
When I saw the tripod on the Cullmann internet page, I was totally euphoric:
- Inexpensive
- Small pack size
- Made in Germany (one believes just still on the hidden promise of quality)
On Youtube I found this even more of a video that had also voted me positive:
- Clever little details such as "built-in" monopod
First disillusionment at Amazon review:
- Product tried blisters on the hands when using and I must unfortunately confirm
What is positive:
- If you have taken all the troubles and hardships of building on itself (I hope someday create
I times under five minutes), it keeps the camera steady
- The ball looks tiny but seems quite stable and even my DSLR with more than one kilo of weight remains stable
- That makes the tripod together lay flat course is a highlight
- Three little bubble levels in tripod head are really nice
- Small details like the built monopod act smart
- Which is the central pillar yet extendable, in principle, is a welcome idea. However, the lack of closure is so annoying that I want to use this additional height gain reluctantly.
The Bad:
- Advance: I think a clever product may be a little awkward, and also my big Manfrotto tripod would be used a few afternoons, before it could be operated "supple". But this Cullmann tripod has perceived shortcomings that are annoying just stay even with intensive use in my opinion
- Closures: At first I did not get down the screw, and then I got it no longer opened. After two hours of play I have sore fingers and thumbs. Should I take the stand really with you on holiday, then a water pump pliers (also known as pipe wrench) into the trunk in order to loosen the screws at all times.
- Tripod adapter screw: The tripod can also be used without a tripod head in principle, because the tripod screw is designed as an adapter. When working with the tripod I screw this now but permament in hand or it falls in front of me on the floor. That means I'm going to screw still stick, because in the wild, I do not want to lose the screw.
- Quick Release Plate: which must be earned, the technique seems to me cumbersome and applies here fixed and removed is a real challenge. Play intense After half an hour it is to manage but I do not know if you can not start all over again after a few months to fiddle (and resent)
- Tripod legs: since the upper fixing made of plastic, making it a right to have them operate very carefully. The legs but have no detent, one wobbles around a bit until the center column appears halfway vertically. The plastic tarnishes also clearly the significance of the subjective impression, without being able to fix the facts so far.
