I bought the new 50mm lens from Sigma based on the recommendation of a professional photographer, and I'm thrilled. I tested the lens in direct comparison with the Canon 1.2 L of a friend. The result was impressive. The sharpness of the Sigma is 1.4 roughly comparable with Aperture 2.8 of Canon, I was very surprised at this extreme sharpness. In my eyes, the Sigma comes close to the quality of a Macro lens at 1.4. The bokeh is wonderfully soft and creamy. I've heard that there probably are models where the autofocus does not fit typical sigma level, but I have so may not notice any problems in the test setup. The very shallow level at 1.4 each sitting to the point. Conclusion: I am overjoyed with the lens and can absolutely recommend it to anyone! The friend said that was part of Canon lens on the results so impressed that he even replace front has its 1.2L for sale and through this lens
