Bought there almost 2 years, they have held up so far, even surviving a machine run. The quality of cable seemed to deter some when my purchase, it has yet suffered any damage. Moreover, it does not really twists. I carry my headphones in my jacket pocket or backpack without further protection, without taking special care. Only "strain relief" from earphones have partially cracked with time, but the fasteners hold good. Three points anyway: - The size of the tips: they are too small, and it is with the Klipsch S4 I discovered that I had larger ear canals mean that :) Can not get good insulation even with the greatest tips, and therefore impossible to get good bass headphones that offer yet. The solution is found for example in selling Comply foam replacement tips: the greatest are ideal for large ears, but a bit away from the eardrum and slightly headphones muffle sound, making it a more "hot", but also less precise. - The sound lacks a bit of detail in the midrange and treble for my taste (especially with the Comply tips). - Separation of instruments could be better and the "scene" wider sound (the "latitude" of sound from left to right, from one ear to the other)
In summary, the Klipsch Image S4 were pleasantly surprised when purchasing them (first semi-ITE after the supplied headphones with my Sony player). Aside from a problem of tips, their form-factor and build quality did not disappoint me. I had purchased for a price greater than fifty euros posted at the time of writing this comment. At this price I would buy it if I was not looking for greater precision and better sound insulation without changing tips. I use these headphones with Sony NWZ-S639.
