Installation was smooth, but not too nice:
- After the scan are ARD and ZDF do not >>> at No. 1 and 2 that could easily be solved by firmware update
EDIT ADDENDUM: According to the manual, there is the option "automatically sort", possibly the little problems would be eliminated from the world.
- When sorting in the FAV (oriten) list ugly: firstly provides a tableau of the transmitter, takes on the desired in the favorite list, but you can not then a tableau more "pages", but up only with Prog respectively bottom line increment. >>> This could easily be solved by firmware update
- Instructions are printed too small to "postcard size" (DIN A6) and additionally unnecessarily runterverkleinert with wide unprinted edges.
- Bildqualtät and switching speed: TOP - which lies on the "latest generation chipset" and the DDR3 RAM.
- Display: "Leading zeros" of the program number are unfortunately displayed, eg 0007 instead of 7 >>> This could easily be solved by firmware update, as well as the lack of Deaktivierbarkeit the standby clock
- Remote Control: although petite, legible (white text on black) and it acts dibasic.
- The device itself: Nice small, integrated power supply.
- Power with a professional power meter measured (NZR SEM 16+):
Standby: is measured in operation: only 4 watts (3.9 ... 4.1 watts, depending on the channel and display) Therefore, only low heat.
- Boot time: 6 seconds. I find that fast.
- Operation: Overall decent, but there are unnecessary Schnitzer, two examples:
1) If you press OK, you can see the sender table, you then navigate to the desired channel, press OK, the station is coming, but: the transmitter panel stops, and you must again press Ok. That there is nowhere else!
2) If you press by mistake a higher channel number, as stored, for example 227, the message "program space not occupied". However, this message does not disappear after a few seconds, but must be confirmed with OK, as long as you can enter any valid program number. No other receiver manufacturers requires something!
In the specific case very annoying, since the use of a key-reduced big button remote control (for Senior) has not been possible because the OK button is missing there.
But no matter: this OK coercion is completely unnecessary and just annoying.
- PVR mode (recording / reproducing) is not needed and I did not try the absence of hard drive.
- USB Stick media playback: ditto.
- Other: antenna connector has a "loop-through 'socket (Cable OUT) for another TV / receiver.
Conclusion:
The above-mentioned small defects could easily fix via firmware update: Hopefully Xoro reads here and act!
Besides being a cheaper and good cable receivers, and I give it 5 stars.
