Metal on metal should be solved differently, eg all coated black stainless steel, not stainless steel part and rest.
The manufacturer can not contact you; am curious how the supplier is to.

Addendum 08.28.2013: now the supplier Siolex has exchanged the products against New. This is a clear concession, although the problem is not solved,
will therefore re-emerge.
