With 116,8g weight with batteries is no lightweight and settled on the dimensions between a small "notebook" and "desktop mouse".
Of course, the AA batteries with 24g per cell contribute. By contrast, the batteries in the follow-up costs are almost negligible, because simple and inexpensive to obtain.
Purchase decisive was the design with the grooves on the keys and the distinctive red stripes for me. The "tilting wheel" made me curious addition.
Here briefly the pros and cons:
+ The addressed design and simple functionality
+ Range of about 4m and more at sight distance without obstacles
+ Good sampling at different Oberfächen like wood and fabric (exotics like transparent glass I did not try) though, a window pane was supposed as a test range >>> did not, unfortunately, it must indeed in the focused area of the sensor a pattern be present the Settled can be.
+ Battery capacity can be queried via the software and exhaustion, it is indicated by a LED on the device
+ Good software with a shortcut keys can be zugewießen. Thus, the tilting wheel can also be easily configured as a forward / backward function in the Web browser (ALT + left / right)
+ The clicking noise can be heard clearly, I think that as an acoustic feedback OK.
+ The scroll wheel is almost impossible to hear (except turning very fast), pleasant pressure point when turning.
+ The diode is invisible what in dark environments discreet acts (meetings etc.)
Cons:
- Scroll wheel can indeed be pushed. It erforder exercise to find the right location for it to operate cleanly without rotation
- When shaking OFF switch is shaking the ON / easily. (But not really a criticism)
- When switching occurs sporadically short slight stuttering in the first movement. Whether that is only a few models so I can not judge.
- The battery cover creaks when direct pressure a little. In normal operation, On-hook palm with me not. Thus actually OK.
- No software supplied, provided by the manufacturer on the website. (Time?)
- Possibly for bargain hunters the price. In a corresponding service life for me again in order
- The receiver's mobile Andwender (super small the part) certainly eventful, for the desktop use a'd "still" meet higher range in larger form.
In conclusion I am therefore really pleased and would recommend them and buy again. At the tilting wheel I got used to in a few hours and it's great fun to work with.
