I wanted my PC with Intel RST Raid enlarge the disk space. So buy 2 new plates. With a RAID 1, the stocking is actually quite simple. So first exchanged the recovery disk from the old system to a new and re-synchronize the system. That went smoothly. Now replace the second disk and synchronize the system. Also ran initially well received, but after some time (15 to 30 minutes) announced the second drive failure and the RAID system has this plate ejected as defective. I tried about 5 times, always with the same result. So my 5-year-old 600 GB hard drives, run the daily 10 hours, re-installed and re-synchronized. Works fine on my motherboard (Intel DQ77MK) it is not so. Actually, I especially expected a better result for RAID systems when so advertised hard drive. Unfortunately, I have not bought at Amazon, because the exchange would be very easy.
