For device itself:
I made test cuts with standard copy paper (80 g / sqm). The indicated 8 sheets as maximum power makes the Dahle 502 with no problems, but it is actually from 9 hakelig. The edges are not frayed; regardless of whether the leaves are removed before re lifting the lever or not. (Sure, the cutting edge is not as slippery sheets industrially produced, for my private purposes enough for me but perfectly.) The lever itself is tight, but can perform well and without great effort.
Another reviewer criticized the seat of the gray guide rails: For me, the rails are properly seated. That the attachable "ruler" has its scope, is with me but just - I see only the component not as ruler, but as a pure clamping aid (with particular emphasis on aid, just that I do not come with my fingers too close to the blade ), inasmuch me Gerutsche not bother. When I press the appropriate cutting, skidding neither the clamping means nor the leaves underneath.
What pleasantly surprised me: The body of the majority 'is made of light metal. In addition, the Dahle stands firmly on the table, and at a reasonable pressure while cutting it slips me not away.
Overall, I am completely satisfied with my purchase and will mothball the slitter.
