Attempting to unpack, connect (both USB connector used) and it has been recognized as expected immediately. All inserted media were read without difficulty.
But unfortunately the attempt to burn a data DVD produced only 3 new coasters.
The burning process started as usual. After a few percent focal progress of Brenner has canceled the burning process without any feedback. Nero announced after a long while that the drive would no longer be available.
I with other external drives, incl. 2.5 "hard drives and a USB-connected adapter internal burner with its own power supply, so far not had any problems, I guess that during firing the power requirement of the burner is higher than the USB specification (max. 500mA per USB port) allows.
Apart from that I felt if the light housing the tray solution is not exactly optimal for an external drive.
The burner I have sent back to Amazon on the same day.
