Overall, the camera takes great pictures, but the image is a bit too aggressive workup and fine details are quickly lost. From the RAW image, you can bring out color distinct neutral pictures with finer details. For clarity, I have set a few comparison shots.

The image effects can also switch at the videos, such as Miniature Effect with 4X generates real funny videos. BUT when the front image effect, the resolution is limited to 640x480, which makes the video almost useless. So more of a gimmick than a feature.
Quite bad, the videos of the NX3000 are not sure, but who want to film with the camera much you should look elsewhere.
#### CONCLUSION ####
The Samsung is a very good mirrorless system camera for beginners. In particular, the clear and simple operation could convince me that still allows enough direct hits on features to satisfy even advanced photographers. Only the image is working up something too aggressive for my taste, but provides total crisp sharp images and sizable. Also the kit lens was able to convince me.
For price an upscale compact camera (eg Canon S120) Here you get much better picture quality than a compact camera. There are then also Adobe Lightroom 5, which in itself good 100 costs. Therefore, there is of me 5 stars.
### ### Alternatives
In this category (compact camera, good image quality, less than 300), there is really only one alternative - the Sony A5000. The A5000 also captures video in 50i and offers Fokuspeeking, but has no electronic level, such as the NX3000. The picture is not quite as aggressive workup, as in the Samsung NX3000 why something like better the image quality. The kit lens I find in the NX3000 in turn better (better edge sharpness). Combined with Lightroom 5, the image quality of the NX3000 is in turn better. For this, the images must be developed but only the computer, but goes quite quickly with a little practice. The A5000 also has no mode dial and less direct adjustments that allow advanced photographers often have to dive into the menu. Beginners will it hardly interfere. Even so, the user interface of the NX3000 is a bit clearer and simpler.
