The beginning was promising, because Catherine was very well described and they quickly learn what their passion is: movies, her boyfriend and sex. What, however, was first described well, has been described to me towards the end too flowery and too extravagant. Here you can tell the author places also that she has experienced from the subject itself much as they used to be self-erotic actress. What has disturbed me only to this book is the fact that I very quickly felt as if Sasha Grey only wrote this book because the genre is currently quite successful. It seems almost as if they wanted to outdo the other authors yet, by having built shocking possible scenes in the story. Something you can certainly like me, it has, however, only bored, because the plot was always flat.
Often Catherines thoughts were all about sex, so at times there was no real action. It is a single back and forth between university, movie quotes, confusing thoughts, sex and superficial characters who stand around to all of them more or less in the way and anything but harmony. I already found books like "Shades of Grey" anything but successful, "The Juliette Society 'is even a trace worse because one has given in other books least effort in the figures.
Who loves this genre, while devouring all the books, could possibly have some fun at the book. I was there the other hand, mostly just bored and made sure that I have annoyed rolls his eyes. Sasha Grey has a writer certainly potential, but they should then eventually try with a different genre. I can not recommend this book unfortunately.
