About the technical details of the G10 is already as good as anything known, so I can save the relevant remarks.
In addition to the G10, I have a 40D and a Panasonic Lumix LX2.
Why the G10 is frequently compared to the LX3, mine is a real puzzle. Except for the simultaneous appearance I look at the cameras no similarities.
From the weight of the G9, I was very excited for me as a unified whole. The G10 is now even better in your hand, I love to touch the part. By contrast, the LX2 acts - and the LX3 naturally also- like a child's toy.
Of course, here we have no camera for your pocket, but a professional tool that you can safely hang around the neck and therefore still can deny a stroll.
What excites me most at the camera: the absolutely intuitive and downright stunning fast operation. Anyone who has ever dealt with a LX know what it's like to struggle through the menus to change a setting, such as speed or aperture. These settings will be extremely fast with the G10.
The image quality is exalted in my view beyond doubt. Primarily I look at the images on a 24 "Mac or prints even a few copies. I do not work in a photo lab and not investigate the image quality according to subjective characteristics to determine that there is somewhere a camera of the middle class, which in a category performs better. A comparison with large DSLRs bans anyway.
Whoever wants to quickly and creatively beautiful pictures: BUY
Who can gladly photographed over 400 ISO of the camera the finger.
And full-resolution, no one has to snap the rest ...
My recommendation: the original Canon pocket SC'DC60A. Fits perfectly and looks great!
Oh yes, a very detailed test of the Canon G10's dpreview at the net. It's worth it!
