The Compact Digital Camera Canon Ixus 130 is a marvel in terms of design and features. This super small camera gives the impression of a solid design. For this ultimately contributes to, among other things, the aesthetically pleasing stainless steel casing. The functionality is great and the menu selection also easily accessible. However, the camera also scores in the automatic mode, where they almost always find the right program option. The high resolution of 14 MP are rather counterproductive and do not contribute to improving the imaging performance in. Image and color noise in the lower ISO settings (up to max. 400) justifiable. Color reproduction and brilliance are excellent. Macro shots and shots at close range bribe in the center by excellent sharpness and good depth of field with sufficient lighting conditions. But especially in the wide-angle end of the edge roll-off of the image sharpness is so serious for landscapes that such recordings, even at low magnification, are almost useless. The stitching of panoramic radiographs ruled out at this edge blurring and -verzeichnungen of itself. Of course you can not compare such a compact camera with a DSLR camera and good lenses, but the lens 130 used by Canon in the IXUS seems rather inappropriate. The camera was therefore returned.
