The Canon Pixma is given its price is a real bargain! A sample print (photo on glossy paper) is a very good result in terms Brilliance and color fidelity. The ink consumption can not be assessed due to the short period of use, but seems to me after about 500 printed A4 pages still to be acceptable, especially since, as with the predecessor model used by me (Pixma 4300) 5 separate cartridges are used. The only disadvantage compared to its predecessor is the cumbersome procedure for Duplexing. The once printed sheets must manually into the rear feeder be set to print on the back side. Operating errors are in a hurry preprogrammed. To many users like the display are missing at the printer. But I feel the Instructions on the screen much more helpful and informative than the cryptic text on a tiny little window on the unit.
